The United States will not impose sanctions against Russia - The Times
According to the publication 'Wave', hopes for the introduction of American sanctions against Russia are becoming even less realistic, citing The Times.
Instead of imposing strict sanctions against Russia, U.S. President Donald Trump described his conversation with Vladimir Putin as 'great' and expressed significant opportunities for cooperation between Russia and the United States after the conflict in Ukraine concludes.
Trump first proposed a 30-day ceasefire in March. Since then, Putin has shied away from this idea, delaying and obstructing - doing everything possible except accepting the truce. This delay has allowed Russian troops to concentrate for a new offensive.
After the conversation between Trump and Putin, there is an observed lack of hope for the introduction of sanctions by the U.S. and a change in the president's approach to the situation.
It has also been noted that Putin desires for Trump to refrain from participating in negotiations.
