Tariffs for gas, heating, and electricity: should Ukrainians expect an increase in utility bills in April.

Tariffs for electricity, gas, and heating in Ukraine will not change until April 1, 2025, but this month marks the last heating season. The base tariff for electricity remains 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour, while the special preferential rate for consumers with electric heating is 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour, provided they do not consume more than 2000 kilowatt-hours per month. In 2025, the list of individuals eligible for the preferential electricity tariff will be expanded, including residents of multi-apartment buildings without gas heating or with heating supply issues. The current market price of electricity is 7-8 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour, and it is expected that starting June 1, the tariff for the population may rise to 6.64 hryvnias, and over the next 2-3 years reach 9 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. The moratorium on tariff increases imposed during martial law continues to be in effect and guarantees stable tariffs for heating, hot water, and gas in April.
Utility tariffs in Ukraine will remain unchanged until April 1, 2025
Ukrainians have been informed that tariffs for electricity, gas, and heating will not change until April 1, 2025. Utility tariffs (electricity, gas, hot water, and heating) remain unchanged until April 1. It is worth noting that April marks the last month of the heating season.
The government has amended the resolution in 2025, expanding the list of individuals who can receive the preferential electricity tariff. Now, the special conditions apply to residents of large multi-apartment buildings without gas heating or those facing serious heating supply issues.
'These residents may pay 2.64 UAH/kWh until the end of April,' said MP Serhiy Nahornyak.
He also clarified that the current market price of electricity is 7-8 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. It is forecasted that starting June 1, the tariff for the population may rise to 6.64 hryvnias, and over the next 2-3 years reach 9 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.
The moratorium on tariff increases, imposed during martial law, is still in effect. This guarantees that in April, tariffs for heating, hot water, and gas will not change.
According to 'Kyivteploenergo', the cost of heating in Kyiv in April will be 1654.41 hryvnias per gigacalorie.
As for gas, for consumers served by 'Naftogaz', the price in April is 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. For other suppliers, the gas price varies and ranges from 7.79 to 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainians may receive housing support and they may no longer have to pay for utilities.
