The USA will start implementing the Gold Card program: what it offers to migrants.

The 'Gold Card' program in the USA
The United States will soon start accepting applications from foreign citizens who wish to obtain so-called 'gold cards' – a new type of residence permit initiated by President Donald Trump. The program involves providing visas in exchange for an investment of $5 million in the American economy.
According to the Axios portal, citing U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnik, the launch of the program is set to take place in May-June of this year, reports 'Gromadske'. 'Everything will be operational within weeks – not months, but weeks,' emphasized Latnik in his statement.
The Secretary of Commerce expressed confidence that the new initiative 'will help America pay off its debts' through a massive influx of foreign investments. It is worth noting that the U.S. national debt today exceeds $36 trillion, which is about 123% of the country's GDP.
Despite the fact that the initiative was announced by Trump back in late February, only now is the program moving into the stage of practical implementation. 'Gold cards' are designed to replace the EB-5 program, which had been in effect for 35 years and provided an opportunity to obtain a 'green card' in exchange for creating 10 permanent jobs in the USA.
According to Latnik, in the first phase, an official website trumpcard.gov will be launched, which will start accepting preliminary applications from potential participants of the program. After establishing the system, a transition to the full processing of applications and issuance of 'gold cards' is planned.
By the way, Americans are massively fleeing to Britain after Trump's re-election. The number of U.S. citizens seeking British citizenship reached an unprecedented level at the beginning of 2025.
