What does the diaspora need? The President of the World Congress of Ukrainians addressed the authorities.

The President of the World Congress of Ukrainians emphasized the importance of cooperation with the diaspora
The President of the World Congress of Ukrainians, Pavlo Grod, stressed the significance of systematic cooperation between the Ukrainian authorities and the diaspora. He noted that Ukrainians abroad need access to education and opportunities to return to Ukraine. Particularly important, according to Grod, is the adoption of a law on dual citizenship.
This was stated in the civic initiative project 'Needle' 'Bridges of Ukraine'.
The Ukrainian authorities should care about Ukrainians abroad
The President of the World Congress of Ukrainians spoke about meetings with the President of Ukraine and ministers. He welcomes the initiative to create a ministry of unity but calls for active cooperation and the adoption of a law on dual citizenship. There are many Ukrainians who are citizens of Ukraine and want to return to their homeland.
The President of the World Congress of Ukrainians emphasized the importance of understanding the needs of Ukrainians abroad and providing them with support. Consular departments should be strengthened, and public institutions supported. It is also necessary to improve the education network for Ukrainians abroad to facilitate their return.
The strategy for returning Ukrainians depends on dual citizenship and quality education
According to the president, the refugee return strategy has a multi-vector approach, but key elements are dual citizenship and quality education. It is important for children to receive an education and be able to return with their families in the future. Additionally, economic conditions must be created for the employment of Ukrainians who will return after the war.
The president calls on Ukrainians around the world to prepare to return to rebuild Ukraine and to gain knowledge and experience in fields that will contribute to this process.
