Syrskyi named the key task for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


The Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a meeting to counter Russian strike drones that are actively operating in Ukrainian territories. According to Syrskyi, the main task is to develop already successful methods of combating this threat.
“The number one task is to increase and scale the means that are already effective. First of all, this means increasing the number of drone interceptors. We need to take a comprehensive approach, utilizing the capabilities of all available components,” he noted.
Syrskyi emphasized that the enemy constantly changes the characteristics of its drones and the tactics of their use. Meeting participants discussed ways to improve the detection of enemy UAVs and their immediate destruction.
Strikes on important facilities in Russia
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the striking of key objects of the military-industrial complex of Russia. During the night of June 14, 2025, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's drones carried out strikes on enterprises producing explosives and ammunition.
“In particular, the facilities of JSC 'NNK' in the Samara region of the Russian Federation were hit. This important enterprise, which produces components for explosives, was attacked. The incident resulted in explosions and fires in the industrial zone,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively responding to the threat posed by Russian drones by developing effective combat methods and launching strikes on important enemy facilities, destroying their military-industrial potential. Developing tactics and means for detecting and destroying enemy UAVs is a priority task for Ukrainian military.
