January 2025 was record low in snowfall.

Ukraine experienced a warm January, weather similar to spring
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports that January this year was extremely warm for Ukraine, and winter cold did not arrive. The air temperature in the past month was more suited to spring or autumn rather than mid-winter. This anomalously warm January has happened twice in the last 25 years - in 2007 and 2020.
"As a result of the abnormally high temperatures in January, Ukraine also became record low in snowfall. Snow was observed only in the Carpathians, at heights of up to 60 cm. During brief colds, weak snow fell, which quickly melted," the report states.
The most precipitation, in the form of rain or wet snow, was in the basins of the right tributaries of the Pripyat in Volyn and Rivne regions, in the basin of the Western Bug, and in the Carpathians, where it reached 70-100% of the norm. In other parts of the country, extremely little precipitation fell, from 10% to 60% of the monthly norm.
During the first and second decades of January, due to several brief cold spells, ice formed on the rivers and reservoirs of Ukraine. However, these were only a thin layer, liquid slush, and partially frozen surfaces.
"Due to a significant deficit of precipitation, the average monthly flow in January on most rivers was low - from 50% to 60% of the norm," they added at the 'Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center'.
Earlier, it was reported that global warming will allow Ukrainian farmers to harvest three times and grow exotic crops.
