Karpenko-Kary University at the center of a sex scandal

Students of Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television named after Ivan Karpenko-Kary accused professors of sexual harassment, which led to the scandal. One of the professors, People's Artist of Ukraine Oleksiy Bohdanovych, mentioned his training at this university and communication with actress Ada Rogovtseva. He emphasized that it was part of the creative process and no one perceived it as harassment.

Bohdanovych also noted that he and Rogovtseva were born in the same city and have portraits next to each other. The professor expressed gratitude to the actress for her help in the process of enrolling in the theater.

Other accused professors

The university named after Ivan Karpenko-Kary also came under scrutiny due to sexual harassment allegations against Young Theater professor Andriy Bilous. He was accused of sending inappropriate messages to female students. He was suspended from work but later returned to fulfill his duties at the theater.

In addition, another professor from Kyiv National University, Yuriy Vysotsky, was accused of sexual harassment. He was suspended from work until a service check was conducted.
