Fraudsters disguise themselves as NBU: Ukrainians warned about a new scheme.

The National Bank of Ukraine has warned about the spread of a fraudulent scheme related to sending emails with malicious content. Fraudsters are trying to look like an official message from the NBU to gain the trust of citizens.
'Today, a fraudulent campaign involving the sending of emails with malicious attachments imitating an official letter from the NBU has been recorded - in the subject of the email and the name of the attached file,' the NBU reported.
Criminals send emails to various email addresses, but sign them with a fake email address nbu@gov.nbu.ua, similar to the official domain of the National Bank. It is emphasized that NBU employees only use the official corporate mail with the domain @bank.gov.ua.
Protection from fraudsters
Ukrainians are urged to refrain from opening and downloading files attached to suspicious emails, as well as to avoid clicking on embedded links. Previously, there have been discussions about other fraudulent schemes aimed at defrauding Ukrainians with bank cards.
Recall that the National Bank constantly warns about various types of fraud and calls on citizens to be cautious and attentive when receiving suspicious messages or letters, especially if they relate to financial activities.
Recently, the National Bank of Ukraine has been warning citizens about fraudulent schemes related to sending emails with malicious content.
