Romania Adopts Law on Shooting Down Illegal Drones
The Romanian Senate approved a law on February 26 that regulates procedures for shooting down drones that illegally violate the country's airspace. This was reported by Glavkom, citing Digi24.
According to the new law, drones that illegally cross the border of Romania and fly without permission may be neutralized or destroyed if their flight cannot be controlled by Romanian or NATO forces.
Furthermore, the document provides for the creation of a new coordination system between state authorities to manage airspace and ensure flight safety.
The bill does not require approval from the Chamber of Deputies and will be sent to the president for signature. It will take effect after official publication.
Russians Use New Type of Drones to Attack Civilians
Russians have begun using a new type of drone to attack the civilian population in the Sumy region. This was reported by Glavkom, citing the region's police.
In the past week, the occupiers have attacked five times with new drones loaded with explosives. As a result of the strikes, one person was killed, and three others were injured. Vehicles and residential houses were also damaged.
Drone Forces in Luhansk Region Destroy Missile System
In the Luhansk region, operators of the Nemesis battalion destroyed the Strela-10M4 (9K35M4) anti-aircraft missile system - one of the most modern modifications of the Soviet ZRK Strela-10. This was reported by Glavkom, citing the Telegram channel of the Drone Forces.
This system is capable of hitting targets at distances of up to 5 kilometers and at altitudes of 10 meters.
