According to a survey of economists, the Russian ruble may weaken once again to about 100 rubles per dollar. Although the ruble strengthened by 25% against the US dollar recently, analysts believe that a strong ruble could increase Russia's budget deficit in 2025. It is predicted that the ruble could reach 100 per dollar by the end of next year.
Experts also anticipate that the Bank of Russia will maintain the key interest rate at 21% at its next meeting on April 25. In the next quarter, the regulator may lower the rate to 20%. According to new estimates, the inflation forecast remains at 6.8%, while the economic growth forecast stays at 1.7%.
