Russia will face another serious problem by 2025 - The Washington Post.

Russia will face a tank shortage
According to The Washington Post, Russia has projected a significant decline in tank production by 2025. The reasons for this are the large losses of military equipment on the front and supply chain issues for new equipment caused by Western sanctions.
It is predicted that Russia will have to seek other sources for necessary components through smuggling. However, this could lead to a decline in the combat capability of the Russian army in the future.
Losses of tanks and howitzers in Russia exceed the number of new machines produced, and economic pressure is also distorting production. Some analysts argue that mass production cannot replace the quality of equipment, especially given such issues.
Russian losses on the front
In November 2024, the Russian army suffered record-high losses - 1523 per day. These figures are increasing every day, and the total number of losses in November reaches 45,690 people.
During the battle for Ukraine and the Kursk region in September and October 2024, Russia lost about 80,110 soldiers in exchange for 1517 square kilometers of territory.
Overall, since the beginning of the conflict, Russia has lost more than 125,800 soldiers in exchange for 2356 square kilometers of territory. This indicates serious problems that the Russian army is facing on the front.
