President of 'Inhulets' Povorozniuk fined 200 thousand UAH for sexist remarks.


The president of the football club 'Inhulets', Oleksandr Povorozniuk, received a punishment from the Disciplinary Committee of the UAF for sexist remarks about women's football. He was fined 200 thousand UAH. In addition, Povorozniuk is required to conduct a lecture for his team on the unacceptability of discrimination in football.
Recently, the players of the women's national football team of Ukraine condemned the words of the president of 'Inhulets' about women needing to do something else instead of playing football. The girls from the national team stated on Instagram that such remarks are unacceptable and called for leaving behind the mentality that discriminates against women's football and undermines the dignity of women. They also shared this statement on their social media.
