The Ukrainian people honor the memory of the victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war every day at 9 a.m. Today we will remember Anatoliy Kucherko.

Anatoliy Kucherko was born on July 26, 1981, and lived in Kryvyi Rih. Later, he moved to Chyhyryn, where he dreamed of building his future.

On September 20, 2024, Anatoliy Kucherko did not hesitate to join the defense of his country.

He served as a radio telephone operator and line supervisor of the command of the first mortar platoon of the first mortar battery of the motorized infantry battalion of military unit A4955.

Anatoliy Kucherko died while performing a combat mission, actively participating in combat operations to protect the Motherland from armed aggression by the Russian Federation. He died on March 21, 2025, as a result of an enemy drone attack while equipping a firing position near the village of Chervonyi Mayak in the Berislav district of the Kherson region.

Friends and colleagues remember Anatoliy not only as a brave soldier but also as a person with a big heart. He always helped, supported with words and actions, was brave, resolute, and unwavering in his convictions.

We also join the minute of silence in our publication. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who lost their lives in the struggle for the freedom of our state. We pay tribute to those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, lighting candles of remembrance and bowing our heads in sorrow during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our country: military personnel, civilians, and children, all who perished during the struggle against Russian occupiers and due to attacks by enemy forces on our cities and villages.
