Police detained a self-taught hacker who organized access to Russian websites.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, cyber police exposed a hacker who created and provided access to Russian websites. As a result of the joint efforts of the police, SBU, and the prosecutor's office, the activities of the online service that circumvented NSDC sanctions were terminated.
A 28-year-old hacker from Khmelnytskyi, having independently acquired the necessary knowledge, created a VPN service that provided extensive access to the Russian internet segment. He rented servers in Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Russia, and also set up a server room in his own apartment to be able to manage internet traffic with temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and Russian regions.
Law enforcement conducted searches and detained the hacker, during which evidence of his illegal activities was seized. Currently, an analysis of the seized devices and an investigation into possible cooperation with Russian agents is underway.
It is worth recalling the attack by Ukrainian hackers on VGTRK, as a result of which documents and data stored on servers used for Russia's aggression against Ukraine were destroyed. It is also worth mentioning the successful cyber operation by Ukrainian intelligence officers who hacked the Russian federal digital signature issuance center.
