National Bank predicted how many Ukrainians will leave Ukraine this year.

The outflow of migrants from Ukraine continues to grow
According to the inflation report of the National Bank, 500,000 people left Ukraine in 2024, and this year another 200,000 people are expected to leave.
Although a return of migrants is anticipated, their numbers are decreasing due to adaptation abroad, which adversely affects the labor shortage.
Lack of security, constant shelling, and destruction, as well as further external migration, are worsening the quality of life for Ukrainians, which is the reason for new outflows this year.
However, according to NBU forecasts, starting from 2026, a positive migration balance is expected for Ukrainians returning - about 200,000 people. In 2027, this process may gain momentum, and the number of returnees could reach 500,000.
Previously, the Employment Service served about one million citizens who received unemployment status, but this figure has significantly decreased.
In 2024, 400,000 unemployed were registered in the Employment Service. However, official statistics show a decrease in the number of unemployed, as many people are leaving for abroad, and they have the opportunity to register as unemployed but do not receive benefits.
Recently, the United States suspended the program for Ukrainian refugees who were forcibly resettled to the US. This concerns United for Ukraine.
The majority of Ukrainians in Poland arrived there recently, with the main part - 37% - settling in the country less than six months ago.
