The National Bank stated when Ukraine will fully switch to the euro.

Ukraine is preparing to adopt the euro upon joining the European Union. According to the Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Serhiy Nikolaychuk, this process will be lengthy and will require preparation.
'10-15 years is definitely not the timeline in which we can prepare ourselves to meet all the criteria needed for the transition to the euro,' emphasized Nikolaychuk.
According to him, Ukraine's readiness for the transition to the euro will be assessed in 10-15 years. Many EU countries still retain their currencies, with only Denmark having an exemption from this rule.
Nikolaychuk also noted that Ukraine's future is linked to joining the EU and the transition to the euro. This process will require certain efforts but will not fundamentally affect the lives of citizens or businesses.
'Currently, the issue of considering such a transition in the short term is not on the table,' added Nikolaychuk.
The transition to the euro will have its impact on Ukraine's currency policy, but it should not significantly affect the lives of citizens and businesses.
