Mudryk Banned from Playing After Positive Drug Test
Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Mudryk has been temporarily declared unfit to play after his drug test came back positive. This was reported by The Times.
In August, Mudryk underwent a test that detected a banned substance, although a previous test conducted recently was negative. Mudryk claims that his lifestyle has not changed between the two tests.
The substance found in Mudryk's system is banned in the United Kingdom, so Mudryk suggests that it entered his body while he was abroad. Chelsea is currently conducting its investigation and is cooperating with the player.
According to the rules of the Football Association of England, a player can be temporarily suspended to allow him to explain the situation before a final decision is made.
Mykhailo Mudryk himself, midfielder for Chelsea and star of the Ukrainian national team, has confirmed that his drug test was positive.
