Mobilization of Individual Entrepreneurs: A Lawyer Explained How to Legally Avoid Paying Taxes.

Due to the general mobilization and martial law in Ukraine, mobilized entrepreneurs have received significant tax benefits during their military service. According to lawyer Maria Hanina, individual entrepreneurs who are not doing business during the mobilization are exempt from tax obligations.
'As for taxes and fees for mobilized individual entrepreneurs, these individuals are exempt from accrual, payment, and submission of tax reports for the entire duration of their military service,' explained the lawyer.
This exemption applies to the main types of taxes and fees, including personal income tax, single tax, and military levy, and is effective throughout the entire period of the mobilized entrepreneur's service.
For individual entrepreneurs with hired workers, the situation is slightly different. Such entrepreneurs have the right to authorize another person to pay salaries to employees during their service, but taxes and fees will be accrued and withheld on their income.
'However, in such a case, taxes and fees on the income in the form of salaries of hired employees must also be accrued and withheld,' summarized the lawyer.
We also remind you of the possibility of receiving compensation for the compulsory alienation or confiscation of property under martial law conditions.
Support for Business in the Context of Armed Conflict
Ukrainian mobilized entrepreneurs have received tax benefits during military service, which do not apply to individual entrepreneurs with hired workers. The aim of these measures is to support business and entrepreneurial activity in the context of armed conflict.
Measures taken by the government to support mobilized entrepreneurs will contribute to the preservation of businesses and help them return to normal functioning after the end of the armed conflict. Tax benefits stimulate Ukrainian entrepreneurs in a difficult period for the country, contributing to job preservation and economic stability.
