A paramedic from Cherkasy recorded a video about the loss of her dog

On December 16, an unpleasant situation occurred in Cherkasy with paramedic Kateryna Polishchuk, known by the pseudonym 'Bird'. According to her, she came from Pokrovsk to Cherkasy to pick up the dog from the shelter. However, the volunteers who had previously taken care of the animal took it with them. Polishchuk was disappointed with this turn of events and published an emotional video on her Instagram.

The dog named Alpha needed sterilization, so she remained at the shelter for a week to recover after the surgery. Polishchuk offered to pay for the sterilization and buy all the necessary things for her treatment. However, a week later, the volunteers decided to keep Alpha with them. This situation discouraged 'Bird', but she urged Instagram users to refrain from insulting each other due to this event.

Residents of Cherkasy supported the shelter and stated that everything happened due to a misunderstanding. In addition, the Cherkasy City Society for the Protection of Animals 'Friend' noted that Alpha was in private care and the shelter had nothing to do with this situation. Kateryna Polishchuk returned the money for the dog's sterilization and asked them to spend it on the benefit of other animals from the 'Friend' shelter.
