Kotlevskyi won three gold medals at the World Weightlifting Championship for youth.


Ukrainian athlete Serhii Kotlevskyi became the absolute world champion in weightlifting among youth (U17). He won in the age group under 17 years in the weight category up to 81 kg with a total result of 314 kg in the two-event competition. Kotlevskyi earned a gold medal in the snatch (142 kg) and clean and jerk (172 kg).
Ukrainian weightlifters also brought home medals from this championship. Kateryna Malashchuk won silver in the snatch (69 kg), finished fifth in the clean and jerk (81 kg), and took bronze in the total (150 kg). The gold medal in the weight category up to 45 kg was won by Aleksandra En Diaz from the Philippines, while silver went to Ariany Ekandia from Venezuela.

Serhii Kotlevskyi demonstrated high professional training and achieved absolute victory at the World Weightlifting Championship among youth. Ukraine can be proud of such talented athletes as Kotlevskyi and Malashchuk. They reflected a high level of Ukrainian sports on the international stage. This is further proof that young athletes from Ukraine have the potential to achieve great results.
