Colombia imposes 25% tariff on US imports in response to Trump statement.

Colombian President responds to US sanctions
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has decided to raise tariffs on imports from the US by 25% in response to the new sanctions and policies against Colombia introduced by US President Donald Trump. This was reported by CNN.
I have been informed that you impose a 50% tariff on the fruits of our labor for entry into the United States, and I am doing the same
The US will impose tariffs on its share of goods from Colombia, as well as restrictions on Colombian officials. This is a reaction to the refusal of Colombian President Gustavo Petro to allow the landing of planes carrying deported migrants.
The Trump administration claims that deportation flights were initially approved, but the Colombian president suddenly canceled the agreement. For his part, Gustavo Petro rejects US statements and considers Trump a racist. He also emphasizes that Colombia is open to the whole world and is building freedom and humanity.
The US is also facing Mexico's refusal to allow military planes carrying deported migrants to fly over due to its strict immigration policy. In just a few days of the Trump administration's operation, 538 migrants were arrested, and hundreds were deported. The US president has also signed an order to close the southern border to illegal migrants.
