Yesterday, on February 27, during combat operations, Vasyl Ratushny was killed, who actively participated in the fight against Russian occupiers. Vasyl was the brother of Roman Ratushny and the son of Svitlana Povalyaeva and Taras Ratushny. He made a significant contribution to the defense of Ukraine. Details about Vasyl Ratushny

Vasyl Ratushny was born on March 13, 1996. He, like his mother and brother, participated in the Revolution of Dignity and fought in the ATO/JFO zone.

Svitlana Povalyaeva spoke about Vasyl: '

Vasyl Ratushny, my older son, went to Maidan and died. He started fighting in 2015 when he was still a minor. In 2019, he did not extend his contract because he wanted to live on his own land and build his house. On February 24, 2022, he began organizing self-defense and protecting Kyiv and the Kyiv region.'

In the autumn of 2022, Vasyl Ratushny participated in combat operations in the Bakhmut direction.

In peaceful times, Vasyl built a house, played musical instruments, painted, made knives and replicas of Viking weapons, and also crafted furniture on his own.

Taras Ratushny reported that his older son chose the same path as his younger one: '

The older son Vasyl followed the same path as his brother. They joined the 93rd brigade and fought.'

In October 2023, Vasyl Ratushny was awarded the honorary distinction 'Golden Cross' of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for courage and service.

It should be noted that Roman Ratushny, Vasyl's brother, was killed in the war in June 2022. He also participated in the Revolution of Dignity.
