Former Chelsea goalkeeper joins French army and is ready to serve in Ukraine.


Former Chelsea academy goalkeeper Nicolas Tie has joined the French army, reports Ouest-France.
At the age of 13, Tie started playing at the Chelsea academy but never played for the main team. He then moved to Vitoria Guimarães in Portugal, but did not play for their first team either.
'I lost the taste for football,' admitted the goalkeeper.
Tie has always dreamed of serving in the army since his father was a paratrooper, and he now intends to serve in Ukraine.
'I am not a politician. I am ready to defend the source. If there is a military operation in Ukraine, I am ready! It does not scare me,' Tie stated.
In the Champions League semi-finals, Arsenal defeated Real Madrid with an aggregate score of 5:1 and Inter Milan beat Bayern Munich with an aggregate score of 4:3.
