The state allocated half a million for the funeral of a politician who denied Russian aggression.


The Ukrainian state has decided to cover the expenses for the burial of Vitold Fokin, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine, who made anti-Ukrainian statements. According to 'Glavcom', the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 477,860 hryvnias for the payment of Fokin's burial.
The order notes that these expenses will be covered by funds from the reserve fund of the state budget.
Vitold Fokin's burial will take place at Baikove Cemetery in Kyiv.
Fokin was the head of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR in 1990 and the first Prime Minister of Ukraine after gaining independence. He also signed the Belovezha Accords, which ended the existence of the USSR.
In 2020, Fokin became the Deputy Head of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas, but was dismissed due to his scandalous statements.
At a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada committee, Fokin refused to recognize the war between Ukraine and Russia in Donbas.
Vitold Fokin died at the age of 92.
It is worth noting that Fokin's house was shelled from the RF side, but Fokin himself was not harmed, as he was in Moldova at the Time.
