Some Ukrainians had their retirement conditions changed: how to receive payments.

Rules for receiving pensions by entrepreneurs are changing in 2024
Starting in 2024, new requirements have been set for entrepreneurs to receive a retirement pension. To receive a pension at 60 years old, a minimum of 31 years of service is required. In 2025, this requirement will become even stricter — 32 years of service will be necessary. If an entrepreneur lacks sufficient years of service, the end of work and pension receipt may be postponed. Depending on the accumulated service, the retirement age may be delayed to 63 or even 65 years.
It is worth noting that the years of entrepreneurial activity are not considered in service records if the entrepreneur has not paid the Unified Social Contribution (USC). The majority of entrepreneurs pay the minimum insurance contribution, which lowers their individual earning coefficient and accordingly affects the overall pension amount. Even if a pension is awarded, its size may be small due to insufficient service and low official income, explained expert Serhiy Korobkin.
