An emergency has occurred in the capital's metro - a passenger was hit by a train at the 'Khreshchatyk' station. Train traffic on the segment of the Svyatoshinsko-Brovary line has been temporarily suspended.
According to the press service of KP 'Kyiv Metro', the stations 'Universitet', 'Teatralna', and 'Khreshchatyk' are closed for entry. The transfer hubs 'Khreshchatyk' - 'Maidan Nezalezhnosti' and 'Teatralna' - 'Zoloti Vorota' are also temporarily non-operational.
'All necessary specialists have been called to the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by law enforcement agencies,' the metro reported.
Currently, trains on the red line are running on a different route: from 'Akademmistet' station to 'Vokzalna' station and from 'Arsenalna' station to 'Lisova' station.
The metro promises to inform Kyiv residents about changes and the restoration of normal train traffic.
