Anti-Ukrainian sentiments are growing in Poland

Ukraine is forced to fight against Russian aggression, but the Polish side is questioning the necessity of its assistance. Recently, Poland refused to provide MiG-29s, after which the Minister of Defense stated that Kyiv does not appreciate political support. It is worth noting that Poland has provided assistance, but it is significantly less compared to other countries.

Poland also has a labor shortage, and many Ukrainians find work there. However, this does not give Poland the right to consider this as its assistance. Moreover, Poland does not adhere to agreements it made with Ukraine, for example, in the agricultural sector. Warsaw tries to pursue its interests while considering the provided assistance.

Problems due to the Volhynian tragedy

Problems have arisen in Polish-Ukrainian relations due to the Volhynian tragedy. Some influential Polish politicians call to block the negotiation process until this issue is resolved. In 2016, the Polish parliament recognized the Volhynian tragedy as an act of genocide. Poland sets conditions that complicate Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

Moscow actively supports issues in Polish-Ukrainian relations, aiming to dominate both countries. Some politicians in Poland are trying to hinder Ukraine's EU membership due to historical grievances. However, it is worth understanding that grievances can exist between any countries in Europe. This complicates the situation for Ukraine, which is fighting against Russian aggression while also needing to resolve historical questions with Poland.

Both countries' responsibilities need to be taken into account

We have the right to discuss all problems, but it is necessary to consider the responsibilities of both countries. Poland itself has divided Ukraine several times along with Moscow. Now the Polish side demands recognition of Ukrainians' guilt, but one should pay attention to Poland's own history. It is unacceptable for a new country to influence existing countries with its grievances, especially considering the existence of the European Union for 31 years. Such problems lead to pointless disputes between countries. Why is Poland trying to draw Ukraine into a difficult situation?
