Fighting for Toretsk continues: part of the city is controlled by the occupiers.

Toretsk: fighting continues for every building
In the city of Toretsk, located in the Donetsk region, Russian occupiers hold part of the territory, but street fighting continues for every building. This was reported by the head of the Toretsk city military administration, Vasyl Chinchik.
“Our soldiers, despite the numerical superiority of the enemy, are giving a worthy response. No building, no premises is surrendered without a fight,” emphasized Vasyl Chinchik.
The Russian army continues mass shelling of Toretsk, including airstrikes and drones. In the past day alone, 198 shellings were recorded, including 3 airstrikes and 67 strikes from FPV-drones.
According to Vasyl Chinchik, only 48 people remain in the city of Toretsk, from where the evacuation of civilians continues, and a total of 140 people are in the community. They are hiding in designated shelters and surviving thanks to humanitarian aid that arrived several months ago.
The head of the Toretsk military administration also noted that the living conditions for civilians in the city are inhumane. Many of them do not want to evacuate because they were born in this city and are ready to stay here until the end. Moreover, due to the dangers on the roads, the delivery of humanitarian cargo to Toretsk has been complicated.
It should be noted that the armed forces of the Russian Federation are preparing for a large-scale offensive in the coming weeks to strengthen their negotiating position in ceasefire talks. Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding off enemy attacks near Andriivka, Milove, P’yatykhatky, and Mali Shcherbaky, and are also engaged in battles near Demydivka in the Belgorod region.
Meanwhile, Russian troops were unable to break through the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region but are conducting assault actions in the vicinity of Kam’yanka and the settlement of Topoli in the Kharkiv region.
