Actor Bohdanovych spoke about his most difficult periods at the Franko Theater.

National artist of Ukraine, Oleksiy Bohdanovych, with extensive experience at the Ivan Franko Theatre, shared his thoughts on the periods when he felt dissatisfied. In his interview for 'Glavkom', he admitted that he finds himself in a similar state now.
I had a period of not being appreciated when I first came to the theater. It's understandable - you appear as a 'star'... But then you realize that in the theater you are nobody, and no one is interested in you. You cannot step out of the ensemble. You move from one performance to another - and it’s all ensemble, ensemble, ensemble... I even thought that maybe I should end it all. But I’ll endure for another year and then go my own way.'
Bohdanovych noted that cinema became his salvation during this difficult period. He started actively acting and realized that he needed a new domain.
The actor spoke about his acquaintance with colleague actor Danchhenko, who advised him to endure and get through this tough Time. Bohdanovych confidently stated that he will not leave the theater.
Bohdanovych confessed that this is not the first time he experiences such a stage in his career. He said: 'Ten years ago, I had half of the repertoire on me - I played leading roles in many performances. But over time, new people come, new directors, and I am less in demand on stage. I am not upset by this; I accept it as a natural process. Of course, I would like more, but I understand that it has to be this way.'
The artist added: 'I have been in this theater for forty years, it is necessary to give others a chance, not to just stay in my place. Although inside me, there is Bohdanovych saying that it is unfair, but in front of you is Bohdanovych who understands that it should be this way.'
