Ukrainian prices for carrots have significantly increased due to rising demand and limited supply. According to analysts from EastFruit, as of April 23, 2025, prices for carrots reach 30-40 hryvnias per kilogram, which is 21% higher than at the end of last week and 4.5 times higher than prices last year.
Experts explain this by the seasonal decrease in stocks in farms. Wholesale companies and retail chains are actively purchasing the product but are facing difficulties in finding high-quality carrots.
In addition, prices for other vegetables have also risen. The price for table beets has increased by 17%, reaching 20-26 hryvnias per kilogram, while the price for cabbage has risen by 10%, amounting to 38-45 hryvnias per kilogram.
