How to prepare children for returning to Ukraine? The Institute of Demography has given important advice to parents.

Children who go abroad to study the Ukrainian language and literature are more likely to return to Ukraine than those who do not. This opinion was expressed by the senior researcher at the Institute of Demography and Social Research named after M.V. Ptukh, Oleksiy Pozniak.
He noted that it is very important for these children to study Ukrainian subjects that are not taught in foreign schools. According to Pozniak, they can choose which subjects they want to study.
The expert also noted that migrants will face difficulties in adapting to Ukrainian society, but their reintegration is quite possible. He urged to maintain contact with them.
Increasing the number of departures
Pozniak also pointed out that the gap between the number of departures and arrivals to Ukraine has increased. In particular, the trend is that families continue to leave with teenage boys who are not yet 18 years old.
Pozniak noted that it is impossible to say exactly what part of them is leaving due to the war. He also emphasized that this is likely to affect the gender distribution of the population and demographic development.
The scientist urged to change approaches to staffing the Armed Forces, but it is difficult to determine the scale of the problem.
It is worth noting that the director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ella Libanova, expressed the opinion that the state should focus on the social status of refugees in Ukraine.
