The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Hungary's decision
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha believes that Hungary's decision to deny entry to three Ukrainian soldiers is unfounded and absurd. He expressed this position in a statement released on July 17 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
'We reject Hungary's manipulations and will not tolerate such disrespect towards our soldiers. Ukraine reserves the right to take appropriate measures in response,' he emphasized.
This situation arose due to the death of ethnic Hungarian Jozsef Sebeshtyen in Transcarpathia, which Hungary linked to an alleged mobilization. In turn, Ukrainian media reported that the man died after being beaten in a shopping and entertainment center in Transcarpathia.
Ukraine is responding to Hungary's decision by announcing possible appropriate measures in the future.
